Darryl M. Kan M.D.

Sports Medicine
Darryl Kan, M.D., graduated from Dartmouth College and received his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County Medical Center, and then stayed on to complete a four-year residency in orthopedic surgery. He did a year of fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Inglewood, California.
From 1982 to 1986, Dr. Kan played professional football as a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers and the San Diego Chargers. He now specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries and serves as orthopedic consultant for the University of Hawai’i Department of Athletics. Dr. Kan is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Hawai’i medical school.
