Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction
Andrew “Keola” Richardson, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee replacement. A third-generation Native Hawaiian orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Richardson graduated from medical school at the University of Hawai`i John A. Burns School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Duke University Medical Center.
After completing residency training in 2015, Dr. Richardson went on to subspecialist training in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the world-renowned Joint Implant Surgeons clinic in New Albany, Ohio, where he trained in state-of-the-art techniques in joint replacement.
Dr. Richardson’s experience includes a special focus on muscle-sparing anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, minimally-invasive knee arthroplasty, complex revision hip and knee reconstruction, rapid rehabilitation protocols, and outpatient hip and knee replacement.
Dr. Richardson has had a passion for sports since his high school years at Punahou. In college, he was co-captain of the NCAA Division I men’s water polo team at UC Berkeley.
