Christian K. Kikuchi, M.D., grew up in Aiea and received his medical degree from the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and subsequently his residency training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Southern California – Los Angeles County Medical Center, regarded as one of the country’s most rigorous orthopedic programs.

In 2015, Dr. Kikuchi moved to Baltimore for fellowship training in Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center, regarded as one of the elite foot and ankle training programs in the U.S., where he trained on innovate and comprehensive foot and ankle surgical care ranging from foot and ankle arthroscopic surgery to total ankle replacement surgery.

In 2016, Dr. Kikuchi returned to Hawai’i and joined Orthopedic Associates. He is a leading expert in disorders and conditions of the foot and ankle, including traumatic injuries, Achilles tendon disorders, bunions, athletic injuries, tendon disorders, arthritis, and flatfoot deformities. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals and is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the University of Hawai’i medical school and has given numerous talks at the local, regional, and national level. He is Board-Certified for Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery.
